An archive, not a marketplace
wiki.yachts is a private visual archive of the world's most significant yachts. Sparse by design. Verified by method.
How the record is kept
Every entry begins as a vessel of consequence — by length, by history, by design, or by the weight of its name. We catalogue structural specifications, builders, designers, and the public, documented portions of each vessel's life.
Specifications are gathered from public records: shipyard announcements, classification sources, and trustworthy maritime press. Where figures disagree between sources, we take the primary source and note the range. Nothing here is claimed from memory; every page names its sources, and the underlying structured data is open for inspection.
This is not a brokerage. We do not list yachts for sale, we do not take commissions, and we do not editorialize about owners beyond what is publicly documented. The fantasy is the point — the boats themselves, undisturbed.
Why sparse?
The best records are quiet. Text competes with the object; here the object wins. Each page carries only what is needed to locate a vessel in history and in scale, then steps back.
Verified, not repeated
Figures are checked against primary or high-authority sources before entry.
Transparent sources
Every entry carries a citation trail, and the data is public as structured JSON.
An independent line
Not affiliated with any owner, builder, broker, or publication.

If a page still holds power with the text removed, it is correct.
